My work explores the relationship between form and absence through the disciplined use of negative space. Using acrylic on canvas, I focus on portraits of musicians and the quiet elegance of wine glasses—subjects chosen for their deep associations with rhythm, ritual, and emotion.

In each painting, I aim to reveal presence by shaping absence. Rather than filling the canvas entirely, I allow space to breathe and speak, guiding the viewer’s attention to the essential lines and silhouettes that define the subject. This technique not only invites contemplation but also emphasizes the emotional resonance that can be found in simplicity.

By balancing detail with restraint, my work creates a visual tension that mirrors the duality of sound and silence, motion and stillness—echoing the subtle dynamics of music and the quiet ritual of a shared glass of wine.
