The artist Jeanee Bourque has been exhibiting art professionally since 1995.
The art has been shown in several galleries in New York City, internationally in the Netherlands, and worldwide shows online. The art has been juried in
national shows from FL to CA and FL to Maine.
Since 2010 Bourque has painted live on stage to live music over 330 times at festivals throughout the southeast. In addition, Jeanee has painted live at schools, colleges, museums, community events, at opera houses, fundraisers, nightclubs, restaurants and coffee shops. She has also performed live painting during massage therapy, a PhD candidates’ graduation recital and at poetry readings all by request.
Bourque’s art has been in museums, galleries, restaurants, exhibition halls, university shows, and a variety of local businesses. Her designs were selected for public art shows in Columbia SC: for The Palmetto Steel Tree, and the Open Door Projects. While fighting cancer and chemotherapy, Jean decided to get an art degree. It took 5 years and ten surgeries for Jean to achieve that goal. In Dec. 2019, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from the University of South Carolina in Art Studio.
