I began exhibiting my work 41 years ago at the age of 18, while living in Fort Lauderdale. My first pieces were pastel drawings, and over the years I’ve explored a wide range of mediums—including painting, drawing, clay sculpture, and video.
I’ve had the opportunity to exhibit in several galleries and museums, and in 1985 I was honored to receive a prestigious South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship.
About 20 years ago, I moved to South Carolina to be closer to family. I approach art as a series of evolving projects—each one a chance to discover something new and energizing in the creative process. My current focus is on contemporary embroidery, using found materials to push the boundaries of the medium in unexpected ways.
