Rosemarie MacFarlane Craig is a Columbia, SC, award winning historic preservationist developer and the retired CEO of the nationally acclaimed furniture manufacturer M. Craig & Company. She has committed her time and energy to historic preservation of urban areas and buildings, having saved or reused more than 700,000 square feet of historic properties throughout the city.
Rosemarie founded the Gallery at DuPre (a project for which she received an Adaptive Reuse Award from Historic Columbia Foundation Award in 2001), providing a beautiful priceless gallery opportunity for local artists from 1999 to 2013. This no-fee gallery’s mission was created to support Columbia’s many artists and photographers in the 21st century. Rosemarie has dedicated her time and talents to support of the arts, especially local artists, and preservation of the City of Columbia.
By the age of four, she had lived in New York City and Paris with her European parents, and to this day, Rosemarie sees the world as a small place. She has always enjoyed sharing stories of her experiences and her rich personal spiritual journey, and many close friends have encouraged her to write. Rosemarie’s studio at Gemini Arts kicks off this latest endeavor.
