After retiring from teaching, I redefined my life and fortunately found a great passion in art. I hesitantly signed up for a painting class at City Art where the teacher was very supportive and encouraging. I took off from there, and here I am at Gemini Arts!
I especially enjoy painting animals (pets and safari), flowers, and places I’ve visited during travels. I’ve taken many workshops and continue classes with Michel McNinch at Stormwater.
Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, I’ve lived in Columbia for more than forty years. I have three children, four grandchildren, three indoor cats, and an array of outdoor kitties, possums, and raccoons who visit my porch for breakfast or supper periodically.
A great source of pride is the painting I created of my grandson running with his dog down a path in Savannah. The painting was chosen to be on the cover of the January 15, 2019 JAVMA (Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association).
