Ekphrastic Writing and Open Mic

Open Mic and Writer Nights: stay tuned for special writer nights at Gemini. Ekphrastic Writing in community 6-8pm with an open mic to follow.

Step into the gallery and let the art speak back through you.

Join us for evenings of Ekphrastic writing: a creative practice in which writers respond to visual art through poetry, prose, reflection, or storytelling. Derived from the Greek word meaning “to describe,” ekphrastic writing transforms the experience of viewing art into a literary conversation.

Miss an open mic writer night? Come during open hours! Wander the walls, linger with a piece that moves you, and write what emerges.

Writers of all levels are welcome.

Submit your literary responses and writing to: theothertwinlitreview@gmail.com

(Please include the name of the piece and the artist with your submission.)
